Business World
Lenskart has introduced Phonic, a new audio-enabled eyewear product that integrates Bluetooth technology for hands-free communication and entertainment. Priced at Rs 4,000, Phonic allows users to take calls, listen to music and interact with voice assistants while wearing prescription lenses or sunglasses. The eyewear is available in two designs—Navigator and Hustlr—in Shiny Blue and Matte Black.
Phonic features built-in Bluetooth speakers and a microphone, enabling users to stay connected without needing additional audio devices. The product offers up to seven hours of playtime on a single charge and supports voice commands for both Android and iOS assistants. Users can send messages, control music and set reminders through voice interaction.
Designed for professionals, drivers and commuters, Phonic provides hands-free accessibility while maintaining a lightweight frame. The smart eyewear includes button-based controls for switching between functions and managing calls or media playback. It can also be customised with prescription lenses or sunglasses, catering to different user preferences.
Lenskart’s CEO and Founder, Peyush Bansal, stated that Phonic aims to provide a practical solution for multitasking users in need of hands-free connectivity. The eyewear is now available for purchase online and at select Lenskart stores across India.
Phonic is equipped with a battery that offers up to seven hours of continuous playtime, making it suitable for all-day use. The eyewear connects via Bluetooth and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
The device features a smart button navigation system, enabling users to switch between calls, music and other functions with a single click. It supports customisation with prescription lenses and sunglasses, providing flexibility for users who require vision correction.
